A Message from our Flotilla Commander
Welcome to the web site of Flotilla 29, the newest flotilla in District Seven. Our flotilla is made up of members who live and work in Northeast Georgia and who boat on Lake Lanier. We are justifiably proud of our flotilla as we continue the work of two older flotillas and serve the boating public in this area.
With a membership of over one hundred, ours is also one of the largest flotillas in the District. We bring different backgrounds, both inside and outside the Auxiliary, but we are united in our interest in working with the boating public.
Our members provide safety and regatta patrols on the water and a communications watch for Lake Lanier. We work with the Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to help keep boaters safe. We teach courses and conduct vessel safety checks on the ramps both aimed at preventing accidents before they happen.
The links on our sight are to aid all boaters in becoming safe and knowledgeable boaters. If you are interested in information regarding courses what we teach please click here. If your interest is in a free vessel safety check for your boat please click here. If you would like to attend our flotilla meeting please contact our Personnel Services Officer, Vincent Boyer, by clicking here.
Working together, we plan to make this not just the newest, or the largest, but the best flotilla in the Seventh District.
Mary Larsen, FC 29
